How We Help Image

How We Help

Every day, we help thousands of people. We offer unique, local programs, designed to meet the specific needs of each community we serve.

Welcome to The Salvation Army Waldorf Corps! At the Waldorf Corps, we proudly serve the communities of St. Mary's County, Charles County, and Calvert County with a variety of programs and services designed to meet the needs of our neighbors. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to provide support, hope, and practical assistance to those in need.

Our corps boasts the largest food pantry in Charles County, ensuring that individuals and families have access to nutritious food throughout the year. In addition to our food pantry, we are committed to assisting our neighbors by serving meals to the homeless every month. We also believe in the power of positive experiences for youth and send kids to camp each summer, offering them opportunities for growth, learning, and fun. Our programs for kids are designed to provide a safe and nurturing environment where they can develop important life skills and build lasting friendships. We are dedicated to making a difference in our community, one person at a time!

Disaster Response Services

For more than 100 years, The Salvation Army has been responding to natural disasters and other emergencies within the United States. No matter the season, Salvation Army mobile feeding units and teams of trained disaster workers are always ready to offer help, hope, and healing to disaster survivors and first responders. While each disaster creates its own unique circumstances and special needs, Salvation Army disaster response efforts focus on several core services. These services may be modified based on the magnitude of the disaster and adapted to meet the specific needs of individual survivors.
